It gives a brief description of the ways in which the collection was formed along with the numbers and genres of the books, while also identifying particularly noteworthy items. This catalogue was published in conju nction with an exhibition organized and presented by the Rubin Museum of Art, Ne w York, 15 March, through 8 Sep- tember, and curated by Theresia Hofer with the assistance of Elena Pa- khoutova. I had a chance to visit the exh ibition on September 8, coming from a con- ference in Princeton just an hour before it was to close.
Therefore, I could only briefly observe its panels, elaborately prepar ed and so rich in details, thus opening to visitors the main aspects of both beautiful and intricate world of traditional Tibetan medical culture.
Fortunately, I have got this catalogue to study and add more theo- retical depth to visual impressions. ISSN Print. User Username Password Remember me Forgot password? Notifications View Subscribe. Information For Readers For Authors.
Almost all of them could be identified. Nevertheless some of these fragments have never been published before. For a long time it was thought that they belong to the losses during World War II. Now they have been re-discovered in the depot of the State Hermitage. It belongs to the re-discovered texts and was known up-to-now only from some quotations in an early edition.
SI and other Kuchean tablets related to the Kizil grottoes in the St.
Petersburg Collection Ogihara H. THT, an unedited tablet kept in Berlin, the text of which is largely parallel with SIis also introduced here. The severely damaged SI is particularly valuable because it proves that three currencies circulated in pre-Tang Kucha. Therefore, the content of these tablets helps scholars to restore the history of this important Buddhist site as well as the activity of foreign expeditions in Chinese Turkestan. This article introduces an Old Uighur document, which had been excavated seemingly in the Bezeklik Caves and was recently re-discovered in the Turfan Museum.
In this study we focused on alkali esophageal injuries in children which occur frequently in southern Iran, due to both, unsafe products and unfamiliarity of families with the alkali consumption hazards.
Materials and Methods : In a cross-sectional study, sixty four children who were admitted due to alkali ingestion atNemazee hospital, Shiraz, Iran during a 4 year period, were evaluated for hospital stay, hospital charges and number of admissions.
Vol 2 No 2 (2016): Art and finance
Data were obtained from medical records and through a phone survey. Results: All ingestions were unintentional. Conclusion : High incidence and complications of alkali ingestion in south of Iran suggests a need for prompt preventive actions to stop the production of highly concentrated alkali and educating families for proper use of these substances.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the relation between cold weather and testicular torsion in children.

According to our center guidelines, those patients who had proven TT were candidates for this study. Thirty-five neonates with CDH were studied. Data collected were: gestational age, sex, weight, Pao2, Fio2 and clinical outcome.
Introduction: Neostigmine and midazolam are each added to bupivacaine for the purpose of caudal anesthesia. In this study, we compared neostigmine and midazolam, each coadministered with bupivacaine, in terms of analgesia and side effects during pediatric inguinal hernia operations.
Material and Methods: We included 60 children 1—6 years-old, candidates for elective unilateral herniorrhaphy. After general anesthesia induction with inhaled sevoflurane, a caudal block was performed. Heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and oxygen saturation were recorded before induction and every five minutes after caudal anesthesia up to 30 minutes. Pain and sedation scores were recorded at two, four, six, 12, and 24 hours after the operation, along with rescue analgesia dosage, vomiting, and respiratory depression.
Results: Mean duration of analgesia in the midazolam group was similar to the neostigmine group The analgesic dosage required was not significantly lower in the neostigmine group compared to the midazolam group Introduction: Premature or anemic newborns undergoing hernia repair are prone to more postoperative complications than full-term infants. Some investigators found that gestational and postconceptional age, the presence of continuing apneic episodes and anemia are the main determinants of postoperative apnea.
It seems that infants who do not receive intravenous anesthetics experience less respiratory complications. Intravenous anesthetics have hepatic metabolism for elimination and the immature liver of the premature has not sufficient elimination capacity.

Remember me.We had great service everywhere we went. Iceland is a beautiful country and everyone that we met was so friendly and helpful. People were constantly going out of their way to help us. We loved every minute of our trip and we were so sad to leave. I would also like to thank Gudrun for the fabulous job she did planning our tour. My husband and I are very careful travelers so we were constantly emailing her with questions and requests.
She handled them all beautifully and was always prompt to return an answer. We had one small hiccup with our driver during the big storm and she called me to tell me she had already arranged for someone else to drive us.
She even helped us plan our wedding which would not have happened without her. She coordinated the florist, the hairstylist and even the pastor. Everybody that she chose did a remarkable job. We could not have gotten married without Gudrun. Thank you for the wonderful experience. I will share our trip with everyone and encourage them to use your company to book their travel. When we travel to the North again we will definitely use Nordic Visitor.
We had an amazing trip on the Glaciers and would thoroughly recommend the trip to anyone who visits Iceland. The guides where very help and tried their best for us to see a much as possible considering the weather which was out of there control, we did not mind that they re-arranged the scheduled stops.
Had a great experience, the people the places and the weather, would not be a visit to Iceland without the weather, the sunny mornings, the snow blizzards in the afternoon, the rugged beauty that brings you in to be part of the landscape, the whispering song that comes in on the wind that is Iceland, the calming melody (stay awhile and recharge), We truly appreciated the quick change of plans Nordic Visitor provided due to the weather on one of the days in the countryside.
The tour guides and employees were extremely friendly and professional. They accommodated us as best they could whenever we needed something. I would definitely recommend Nordic Visitor and this package to anyone. We spent 8 days in Iceland, with all our activities except 1 arranged by Nordic Visitor (including all transport and accommodation).
Their service providers are as high quality as the company itself, and I would not hesitate to make use of their services again - in fact, I would not dream of visiting Iceland without them. Booking the trip online with Nordic visitor was quite easy and manageable. Gudrun was very helpful with the whole process.
Everything went smoothly from the pick up from the airport, with our accommodations, drive tour packet which was very informational (love the map and itenirary booklet), optional activities, and bus ride back to the airport.
Will definitely recommend Nordic visitor to anyone who's interested in going to Iceland and will likely go through this agency again for future travels. The whole experience in and around TROMSO was wonderful. In particular, I appreciated that Sara Oskar Kristjansdottir maintained communication before and throughout the tour.
She was responsive and helpful. For example, when I advised that I was unable to attend one of the activities as I was unwell, Sara arranged a refund for me. Nordic Visitor is awesome. From our pick-up at the airport to having to re-arrange our departure time, the whole experience was seamless. We are absolutely in love with Iceland and the experience Nordic Visitor provided was a big part of that.
Christmas dinner was booked for us by Nordic Visitor also which was fantastic as we would not have found a restaurant open ourselves.
